Eggplant Performance Archive Files
When you export workspaces, projects, virtual users (VUs), or scripts from Eggplant Performance Studio the export is saved as an Eggplant Performance Archive file. These archives files are compressed and saved with .epa file extensions.
Exporting to Eggplant Performance Archive Files
The archive file contents depend on the type of object you export as follows:
Workspaces and Projects: A workspace/project archive file (called "Eggplant Performance Archive") contains most of the files from a workspace, excluding any that are deselected in the Advanced tab (to reduce the size of the archive). It also contains files from any projects that you select on the Export dialog box. See Exporting a Workspace/Project for more information. We recommend that when you export an object to an Eggplant Performance Archive (.epa) file, you name the archive file so that you can tell what type of object the archive contains. This will make it easier to know what the file contains when you or anyone else wants to re-import it.
Scripts: A script export archive file (called "script archive files") contains the custom virtual user (VU) on which the script is based, including any parent custom VU, and the web service or recording if that was how it was generated. When you export a script, the archive file name includes a Script_ prefix by default, and has the .epa file extension.
Virtual Users (VUs): A VU archive file (called "Virutal User archive files") contains all the files needed to define the custom user, including any parent VUs. When you export a VU, the archive file name includes a VU_ prefix by default, and has the .epa file extension.
Importing Eggplant Performance Archive Files
When you import objects into Eggplant Performance Studio, you have the option to import from a .epa file or a .zip file.
