Injector Family Types
There are three types of injector families in Eggplant Performance: Static, Eggplant Cloud, and Public Cloud.
Choose from the available options to create the type of injector family you wish to use.
Static Injectors
Static injectors are defined as physical or virtual machines running Eggplant Performance injector software that are always on the same host. That is, these injectors use a static IP address or hostname.
Eggplant Cloud Injectors
Eggplant's new cloud offering enables you to run Eggplant Performance injector software that is provisioned within the Eggplant Cloud environment. Note that you must obtain a license from Eggplant to be able to use Eggplant Cloud injectors. After you provide a username and password to log in to Eggplant Cloud, you can create injectors on which you can then run your performance tests.
Public Cloud Injectors
Public Cloud injectors are provisioned in a cloud environment to run Eggplant Performance injector software. These injectors are typically created only as the test begins; therefore, the IP address will likely be different each time the specific injector is called.
Studio supports using Microsoft Azure and Amazon EC2 for running cloud injectors. Note that both of these services require a subscription from the vendor. You will need to enter access credentials in Studio to log in to your cloud provider.
