epgw release 26.1.6

We are happy to announce Eggplant Gateway 26.1.6 (March 27, 2026). This release of Eggplant Gateway contains the following enhancements and defect fixes:

You may see differences in the exact Eggplant Gateway build listed here and in the version you see installed on your system, or on the Eggplant Functional About panel, for example. The contents of any build of the 26.1 version should contain the functionality listed here unless otherwise specified. The build is the number you see to the right of the dash in the version.

Eggplant Gateway for RDP

• Improves RDP connection performance when connecting to Windows 11 systems.
• Adds validation for the --colorDepth command-line parameter, providing a clear error message when an unsupported value is specified.

Eggplant Gateway for Android

• Fixes an issue where Android devices would freeze when connected on macOS (arm64).

Persistent Connection Service (PCS)

• Enables the PCS MCP by proving the --enableMCP argument. Customer requires to have a Eggplant Functional license.
• Fix the Model Context Protocl (MCP) capture framebuffer tool colors, previously the red and blue were swapped on some gateways.

General improvements

• Fixes an issue where empty clipboard content was not handled correctly, which could cause errors when clearing the clipboard during a VNC session.
• Updates OpenSSL to the version 3.6.1 for improved security.
