We are happy to announce Eggplant Gateway 26.2.3 (May 20, 2026). This release of Eggplant Gateway contains the following enhancements and defect fixes:
note
You may see differences in the exact Eggplant Gateway build listed here and in the version you see installed on your system, or on the Eggplant Functional About panel, for example. The contents of any build of the 26.2 version should contain the functionality listed here unless otherwise specified. The build is the number you see to the right of the dash in the version.
Eggplant Gateway for RDP
- Changes the default value of the
--redirectSmartCardsoption fromtruetofalse. This prevents RDP connections from hanging on machines that do not have smart card services configured. If you require smart card redirection, set the option explicitly totrue. (CRD-1996) - Fixes an issue where the clipboard format list was not correctly shared during an RDP session, which could cause clipboard operations to fail intermittently.
- Fixes an issue with the TypeText command when nesting RDP connections in EPF versions 26.2.0 and higher. In this case, "nesting RDP connections" means using EPF to connect a SUT with an RDP connection, and then using MS RDP to remote into another Windows SUT. (CRD-1989)
- Upgrades FreeRDP to version 3.26.0, delivering additional stability and security improvements.
Eggplant Gateway for Sauce Labs
- Improves the speed of typing text on iOS devices connected via Sauce Labs, reducing the time required to complete text input operations.
General improvements
- Fixes an issue where FFmpeg diagnostic messages could leak to the system console on macOS ARM and Android devices during video decoding.
Persistent Connection Service (PCS)
- Improves the MCP pointer tools by including coordinate origin guidance in tool descriptions, making it easier for AI agents to accurately interact with remote sessions.
