We are happy to announce Eggplant Gateway 26.2.5-0050 (June 18, 2026). This release of Eggplant Gateway contains the following enhancements and defect fixes:

The contents of any build of the 26.2 version should contain the functionality listed here unless otherwise specified. The build is the number you see to the right of the dash in the version.
Eggplant Gateway for Android
- Fixes a memory leak where connection resources were not properly released after an Android gateway session ended. (CRD-1928)
Eggplant Gateway for iOS
- Fixes a memory leak where connection resources were not properly released after an iOS Gateway session ended. (CRD-1928)
Eggplant Gateway for RDP
- Improves error reporting when an RDP connection fails by surfacing the underlying FreeRDP error code, making it easier to diagnose connection issues.
- Fixes a regression where smart card redirection was not enabled when connecting to an RDP session using smart card authentication.
- Fixes an issue where smart card authentication failed when using the IDEMIA smart card driver. This fix resolves the certificate authentication path and adds support for authentication with IDEMIA smart card drivers. (CRD-1982)
Persistent Connection Service (PCS)
The following enhancements apply to the MCP Server:
- Connections returned by the
epgw_list_connectionsMCP tool are now sorted alphabetically, making it easier to locate a specific connection when many are active. - Fixes an issue where attempts to retrieve the framebuffer immediately after starting a connection could return an error message. This fix resolves the issue and provides improved guidance to the AI prompt, enabling it to retry framebuffer retrieval when appropriate.
