epgw release 26.2.6

We are happy to announce Eggplant Gateway 26.2.6 (July 8, 2026). This release of Eggplant Gateway contains the following enhancements and defect fixes:

You may see differences in the exact Eggplant Gateway build listed here and in the version you see installed on your system, or on the Eggplant Functional About panel, for example. The contents of any build of the 26.2 version should contain the functionality listed here unless otherwise specified. The build is the number you see to the right of the dash in the version.

Eggplant Gateway for iOS

• Fixes an issue where rapid MJPEG reconnection attempts with no backoff delay could exhaust system file descriptors, crash usbmuxd, and cause a total outage across all connected iOS devices. The iOS Gateway now retries with increasing delays to prevent these issues. (CRD-1971)

Eggplant Gateway for RDP

• Updates the OpenSSL library to version 3.6.3 for RDP connections, incorporating the latest security fixes.

Eggplant Gateway for VNC

• Fixes an issue where the VNC connection status was not correctly reported when connecting via Eggplant Studio, which could cause the studio to show the connection as disconnected even when it was active.
• Fixes an issue where the first screenshot taken after establishing a VNC SUT connection was blank.

Persistent Connection Service (PCS)

• Adds support for loading SUT connections from DAI. When PCS is configured with a DAI SUT service URL and Keycloak credentials, it retrieves available connections directly from the DAI.
• Improves error message handling when user using --eggCloud feature.

General improvements

• Fixes an issue where the log level set by Eggplant Functional was not correctly applied to the gateway process.
