We are happy to announce Eggplant Gateway 26.3.6-0035 (September 23, 2026). This release of Eggplant Gateway contains the following enhancements and defect fixes:

You may see differences in the exact Eggplant Gateway build listed here and in the version you see installed on your system, or on the Eggplant Functional About panel, for example. The contents of any build of the 26.3 version should contain the functionality listed here unless otherwise specified. The build is the number you see to the right of the dash in the version.
Eggplant Gateway for iOS
- Fixes an issue where launching or killing an app on an iOS device could hang indefinitely if the underlying driver process stopped responding. These commands now time out and report an error instead of blocking the connection. (CRD-2006)
Eggplant Gateway for RDP
- Fixes an internal found issue where RDP connections will hang if username are not provided. With this fix, an RDP connection without a username will proceed normally and return an error message if a username is required for valid credentials.
Eggplant Gateway for Android
- Fixes an issue where the section sign (§) could not be typed on a local physical Android device. This fix enables the section sign to be displayed correctly on the SUT and adds support for Unicode characters via TypeText. For guidance on typing text on mobile devices, see Typing Text on Mobile Devices in the Mobile Devices section. (CRD-1929)
General improvements
- Updates the bundled FFmpeg multimedia library to version 9.0.
- iOS 27 Support:
- EPGW iOS connection is compatible with iOS 27. Validation testing has been completed, and all tested features and functionalities are working as expected
