Choose a Language

note

This page will be skipped if there is only one choice of script language.

Script generation does the hard work of creating the code for a virtual user (VU) script. When generating from a Web recording, script generation rules can be used to alter the script code. In most cases, you might want to edit the script code directly.

VU scripts can be written in two of the most popular programming languages. It is good to have some familiarity with the selected programming language if you are trying to edit the script code directly.

  1. Choose the language you want.

Choose a language panel in the Generate Script from Recording wizard in Eggplant Performance Studio

  2. Click Next to continue to the Choose a Custom Virtual User type panel.

  3. Continue to the Choose a Custom Virtual User type page for information about this panel.
