add

Command

Performs arithmetic addition, adding a value to the existing value in any container.

Example:

put 7 into foo
add 5 to foo
put foo --> 12

The add command can add a value to any type of container – not just a variable – including a file or any chunk of another container.

Example:

add 1 to item 2 of line 3 of file "/tmp/scores"
